Where Adsense Should Appear
The choice can largely come down to the commercial goals and the purpose of your website. Many businesses who sell products decide to place Adsense adverts within their website. This would appear to be a strange choice, opening up opportunities for rivals to promote their service or product to your potential customer base.
Many publishers claim that they are only doing this to allow companies who provide ancillary services to advertise. These claims have some merit, as those who for example sell pillows could provide those who sell bedding with an opportunity to advertise.
Although this would make sense, there are still those online retailers who allow rivals to penetrate their audience. Many claim that there are still benefits in allowing your direct competitors to advertise within your website. One of these is that ultimately if visitors wish to see your competitors they would be able to see them through a Google search regardless. This may be true however the thought of an established brand like coco-cola having a Pepsi advert in their website is not even a possibility.
Another factor which is considered in this situation is that publishers do not feel that Adsense is effective in making conversions. They feel that visitors who would click on adverts are not highly qualified customers, as they would quickly navigate to the materials or products that interest them if they were.
Despite Adsense being a questionable choice for online retailers, it is surely a good supplementary service for other varieties of online publishers. For example, a website which provides a free service like dictionary.com gets high levels of traffic, and is able to make their service profitable through adsense. This has been the case for Bloggers who originally provided content free of charge, being unable to reach the scale that is necessary to contract with advertisers directly.
This could also apply to other previously free services, including wider forms of information broadcast, and news for example. In 2006 a man who later published a selection of Videos claims to make $19,000 a month through adsense, claiming that he was also contacted through Google to help him increase the CTR (Click Through Rate) that he achieved. The thought of success like this has been a major factor in stimulating online publishers to opt for Adsense.
Many publishers also claim that adsense makes their website look more professional. Those who are able to contract with advertisers are generally seen to provide a service with large appeal, and therefore those unfamiliar with the program may feel that the Adsense advertiser is in this position.
Adsense however, is also aligned with those publishers who use the service purely to provide links to adverts. Everyone has done a Google search, clicked on an Adwords advert and came into a website which reads top ten resources on… This is a major problem, as is generally something that surfers find frustrating. If people see that it says adverts by Google, and they then see adverts by Google on another site, they may align that site with consumer unfriendly practices. This is therefore an issue which Google has to address, to maintain Adsense as a reputable service.
Regardless of the disadvantages and the websites for which the service may be inappropriate it is still a useful tool for website visitors. Those who visit a website, and click on a link provide revenues for the publisher, whilst those who provide free services are able to generate revenue.
The only fear that Google has, is that rival PPC programs offer better deals to publishers and they decide to go elsewhere, therefore taking advertisers with them. However, ultimately it is best for advertisers and publishers if they largely remain in same PPC circuit.

When Will I Get My Google Adsense PIN Number And Why Do I Need It
Once you’ve been mailed a PIN number, your account payments will be on hold until the PIN is entered in your account. You can still have access to your account and earn money; you just won’t be paid until the PIN is entered. If it hasn’t been entered within 1 year, your account will be disabled.
To enter your PIN after you receive it in the mail, log into your Google Adsense account. Click on the My Account tab, then click on edit. Update the appropriate field and click submit changes. It would also be a good time to check your contact information and make sure it is correct. You’re now well on your way to receiving your first Google Adsense check.
Understanding The Google Adsense Report
It’s interesting to look at the breakdown. As you can see, Adsense for Content, which refers to the targeted ads appearing on the pages in which you have written content, is listed first. Here you will see the number of page impressions listed in the first column. While a page impression is generally the same as a page view, that is not always the case. For a more detailed definition of a page impression, see Google Adsense support, click on Your Adsense Account and then click on Your Adsense Report.
Next, you’ll notice the number of clicks. This refers to the number of times “your ads” were clicked on.
Page click through rate or CTR is in the next column shown as a percentage. It represents the percentage of the time an ad was clicked on after viewing your page.
Page eCPM which stands for effective cost per thousand impressions. It is calculated by dividing total earnings by the number of page impressions in thousands.
Don’t be intimidated by these statistics. The bottom line, your earnings, is what really counts. As you become more familiar with Google Adsense, statistics will become like second nature. First, just start.
How is Google Adsense Different From Other Ad Networks?
Primarily because it is Google and that carries a lot of clout just with name recognition alone. But here are some advantages to being a part of the Google Adsense network:
Getting started is fast and easy and requires no technical knowledge. Google Adsense even provides html code for easy implementation with clear instructions.
Google Adsense has both the Adsense for Content feature and the Adsense for Search feature.
Google Adsense not only provides keyword targeted ads but site targeted ads as well, maximizing your potential for revenue.
Google Adsense provides a filter so that you can choose not to run your competitor’s ads on your pages as well as filter other unwanted ads.
Google Adsense provides an extensive support site that is easily understood.

What Is The Best Adsense Color Combination
Because of my own curiosity I recently to took the ads on one of my sites and changed the colors from a color that blended with the page color (they were a light brown) scheme to standard blue color html code #0000FF. I did this because I have read so much that the Standard blue color is the universal color for links and people tend to associate this color with a link and will be more likely to click it.
The site in question has a mid double digit CTR and has had about the same CTR for over a year. The site gets about 50 visitors a day from various sources.
The day after i changed the colors from brown to blue the CTR fell in half!! It has been this way for seven days, i am changing it back tonight to get my earnings back inline.
This was a real eye opener to me as everything I have read over the past two years has stressed blue as the color of choice. I have recently heard rumblings of Red being a high converting color, this will be my next test to see if Red beats a blended Ad unit!
Keep in mind that I only change the color of top the Link line in the Adsense and I leave the text and everything else black. I also run no border and use a background the same color as my site.

Positioning Adsense Ads
The first thing you should know is that there is no universal position that is guaranteed to improve your earnings. That being said, the part above about experimenting is meant to be taken literally. You have to try as many setups as you can to find the solution with the greatest benefit.
But, of course certain places usually work better then others. Of course, Google recognizes this and they publish a "heat map" of how much revenue ads placed in certain portions of the page can bring you. Experimenting is often the best way you can find, what suits the sub conscious mind of your audience.
Generally the most profitable ads are placed within the main content, generally right above it. But this is by no means a rule and there are some exceptions to it. One known exception is having a news site or something similar to a new site.
If this is your case, you will often find that you generate more earnings by placing your ads at the bottom of the content, right before comments begin. This is because as users finish reading a story, they have a short moment where they're looking for something more to do. And your AdSense ads can offer them that something.
Also, placing ads to the left side of your page seems to work better almost all the time. Of course, this is logical because text is generally written from left to right (unless you come from certain countries where it's the other way around).
People will finish a sentence and return their eyes to the left position, which means they have a higher chance of spotting your ads.
Also, there's a bit more to this then just having ads visually in the right place. If you have more then one ad you have to worry about where they're located in the code as well. And there's a very good reason for this concern.
AdSense fills the ads in the order it finds them in the source. That means that if the first add you have in the code isn't the one generating the highest revenue, you may soon start to lose money, rather then earn more.
This is because if AdSense doesn't have anymore ads it will supplement your space with public service ads or just leave it blank altogether. That means that, if you're unlucky, you could end up with your most profitable locations not having any good ads at all. To supplement your revenues
There are other issues with how many ads you should place in your site. The problem is that if you have too many, rather then generate more income, you'll have a lower click through rate, as visitors tend not to follow ads from the places where these come in excess.
You have to constantly keep track of how the users interact with your site. Keep an eye out for where the visitors will be looking at your site most. This is generally the place where you want to use your first ads. Also try not to place ads in annoying positions as that can guarantee a lower click through rate.
Of course, you always need to have ads that blend in with your content and generally don't make the visitor's presence on your site an unpleasant one. The key is providing an enjoyable experience for your visitor, whilst generating revenues from their exploration.
And again, ultimately the best revenue will be earned through a lot of experimentation. Be sure to use AdSense's channels feature and be on the look out for how certain ads in your pages are doing whilst altering the positions to better supplement your earnings.
Adsense Smart Pricing-Is Your Content Quality a Deciding Factor
Recently there have been alot of people with Made For Adsense Sites (MFA) that have experienced a drop in payouts per click. Many have attributed this to being smart priced by google but there could be another factor in play then Google simply choosing to reduce your earning?
The comment below was taken directly from the Googles Adsense blog and to me is a real eye opener for Adsense publishers that are worried about smart pricing.
From Google Adsense Blog
If your website performs well for advertisers, there may be increased competition among them to fill your ad spaces. This means we'd have a wider variety of possible ads to display, so the ads you see on your site may be more relevant to your site content and your users' interests. This may lead to more clicks from your users, more placement-targeted campaigns geared towards your site, and increased advertiser bids. Overall, you're likely to earn more revenue with your site if advertisers are generating conversions and receiving quality leads from your site.
On the other hand, if your website performs poorly for advertisers, they may be less inclined to display on your site. This means that the ads our system displays on your site may not be as relevant to your site content and your users' interests, leading to fewer clicks and decreased advertiser bids. As a result, you're likely to earn less revenue with your site if advertisers are performing poorly.
From my analysis of this statement it seems that as the economy tightens up and advertising budgets shrink the companies that advertise with Adwords are really analyzing where there traffic comes and how that traffic converts to actual revenue for them.
They are then putting a big emphasis on getting ads onto the best performing sites and filtering out the poor ones. This should be a wake up call to Adsense publishers to build sites with very high quality content and not just some over used PLR or auto generated scraper content because in the long run your earnings will decline.

Use Article Marketing To Increase Your Adsense Revenue.
Click edit above to add content to this empty capsule.
When it comes to making money online most people over complicate things to the point of insanity. The truth is that with Google adsense you really only need two main things, traffic and a website or blog!
Once you have those two things the adsense will do the rest. Putting up a website or blog is simple. So simple in fact that most people can have there own up and running in a matter of minutes using some of the free platforms that are available on the Internet today like blogger or wordpress
With that said they most people will still lack the most important factor, traffic. Getting traffic is looked at as some black magic science that only a few know about. I remember when i started i thought there was some super secret SEO tricks that i needed to be successful. I spent money on alot of ebooks and courses only to be let down because the information i was receiving was basically the same rehashed crap everyone was pushing and it really never worked as promised.
I decided to dig a little deeper and teach myself a new way to get traffic and make good money from adsense instead of the pitiful pennies i was making a day.
After a few months of reading and learning on my own i finally figured it out and it took my adsense earnings to a new high of between $500-1000 per month from the previous $20-$25. While that maybe low to some people it sure has let me lead a funner and less stressful life!
The best part about my ways of getting traffic is it takes literally 30 minutes a day and most people could do it on their lunch hour at work, which as a matter of fact is when i do all my article writing. So with out further ramblings i Will go into the simplest strategy there is to get more money from adsense and more traffic to your money producing pages.
What Is Article Marketing
Article marketing is my method of choice for driving targeted interested visitors to my webpages. Now this is not a new concept but it is one that is often overshadowed by other fancier and methods that claim to be more effective ways to get traffic.
While there maybe fancier and more glamorous ways to get traffic, in my opinion nothing beats article marketing, well maybe Pay per click but that costs money and article marketing is free!
Article marketing is a simple concept. You write quality informative articles and submit them to the top article directories on the internet. In return for publishing your article the directories give you a resource box that you can put a link to your websites in. One good article can send thousands of visitors to your site in a short amount of time.
Along with the traffic directly from the article directories many blog and website owners will use your articles as site content. When done correctly they are supposed to leave your resource box in place with your links tact. This will provide you additional backlinks as well as the potential to siphon off some traffic from sites who publish your articles.
Top Article Directories that have worked well for me.
Ezinearticles (the best directory period)
Go Articles (instant approval)
Afro Articles (500 word minimum)
One of the ways you can ensure that your articles receive good traffic is to do some simple keyword research. I use free wordtracker for this job. Its very easy to use, just enter your keyword in the box and the 100 most popular keywords for that phrase will come up.
I write my articles around the lower competition keywords that no one wants because they offer little search volume of 2-5 per day. These are easy to rank for and drive traffic to the articles and my sites very well. I would rather dominate 100 smaller keywords rather then 1 big one because if you lose 1 of 100 its no big deal but losing 1 of 1 is. Plus there is just safety in numbers that make me comfortable.
If you make an effort to sit down and write one article per day and focus on driving traffic to one site you will see a rise in traffic and in income.
Article Marketing Tools I Use And Recommend

Adsense SEO-Optimizing Your Site For Adsense
But who do you do this? Well, the major way you'll get visitors to see your website (other then using AdWords, which is encouraged as well) is to use some techniques to have search engines send more and more users towards your page, by ranking high in search results for your topics of interest.
Believe it or not this is a technique, better known as search-engine optimization or simply SEO. So here are a bunch of tips that come handy under every amateur or professional optimizer's belt.
The first thing you need to take care of is the actual source code and layout of your page. This has to be kept as simple as possible. The problem comes when AdSense and the search engines themselves begin to have troubles in extracting the most relevant keywords on your site because of a too complex layout.
Secondly, try to have each one of your pages target only one specific topic. This way it is a lot easier for them to get indexed properly and for the AdSense ads to be consistent with the content of the site itself.
Also, try not to include too many hyperlinks in your page as well. This also means you should try not to use too many AdSense ads on your page either.
If there are certain keywords you wish to target, make sure the word you wish to target is present in the title, in the first paragraphs as well as in the name of the file. While you're at it you might want to ensure the word springs up in the page's last paragraphs.
And of course, it's very important for your content to have original and compelling content. How do you do this? Well the easiest way to do it is to find something you're really passionate about. That way, providing you give it a lot of effort you're bound to have a great page quite fast.
If the content you use in your site is in the public domain (which is highly discouraged) make sure that you at least give it an original title, and add an opening and a closing paragraph of your own.
This takes a little while, but if, after waiting, you still can't find your page near the top, you should try rewriting your title and your first and last paragraphs. It doesn't take much, often just changing a few words will give you the right results.
And of, course there's the use of keyword tools that may aid you in finding some good keywords to include on your page that will drive visitors to your site more and more.
So those are about the basic techniques in search engine optimization. You can find a lot of computer tools to aid you in doing this, and of course, Google is a great place to search for this.
In the end, you'll find that SEO is a complex topic, and entire books have been written on the topic as well. You might find that you have a lot of optimization you need to do in order to get more and more visitors to your site and clicking those precious AdSense banners.

How To Earn More With Adsense-Making Adsense Work For You Takes The Right System
Making money with Google adsense is something that many people attempt at and many people fail at. Although if you can approach it with the right plan of attack you an make a very nice side income, maybe even replace your daily jobs income. I currently use the system i am about to describe to make on average between $800-$1200 USD per month depending on traffic and click payout, and i do this working only on my lunch hour at work and a few hours on the weekend. All in all i probably put about 25 hours into my adsense efforts per month.
Pick The Right Niches Not The Fun Ones
Many adsense books and course tell you to start with a niche you know about and are interested in. They tell you this because its easy to write about things you like, but taking the easy way rarely gets anyone rich! Bottom line is write about something that pays well for your time, if it ends up to be something you like all the better.
To start with you need to pick a niche that has high bid prices in adwords, its also great if that niche has large corporate advertisers with huge ad budgets. You can find this at www.spyfu.com just by entering the keyword in the search box you can see how many adwords advertisers there are and what the bid range is. Stick with bid ranges that start at $2, at this level the advertisers probably have some capital backing them up and will bid higher in the google adwords content network which is where the google adsense ads come from.
Some of the best niches are in the mortgage, credit card, insurance and legal niches. These can easily payout over $2 per click so you may need very little traffic to make $10, $20 or even $100 per day.
Finding Good Keywords
First off keyword research is more like an educated guess more then anything. How often a keyword is searched for and what the competition is for that word can change on a daily basis. Although it is still better then guessing blindly in the dark!
Where To Get keyword's
Go to www.wordtracker.com and enter the keyword you want to check, for example enter mortgage refinance (a great paying niche) and it will return the 100 most popular keywords.
Next to those keywords is a number that tells how many times PER DAY that term is looked for on google. Find keywords with daily searches of 5 and above. Next enter that keyword with quotes "example keyword search" in google. The results that come up will show the amount of pages optimized for that keyword.
The lower the number of pages that gets returned the better it is for you. However you have to look at more then just the number of competing pages. You also have to look at the pages themselves. What is the Page rank of those pages. Are they keyword optimized for the keyword and do they use the keyword in the URL or page title?
If you see sites like howstuffworks.com, msnbc.com wikipedia.com on the front page you can pretty much figure you will have a hard time placing on the front page for that keyword and move onto the next one.
Google also has a great new keyword tool that supplies a lot more information the wordtracker. I just prefer wordtracker because i am used to it and it has worked for me.
Make Your Site
Many people use blogs for their adsense sites, while they work great i just prefer static HTMl sites and have ha good luck with them. With that in mind i will focus on HTML site building but if you use blogger or wordpress the methods will still wok the same. What i recommend for a good adsense site is making a 10 page website and writing your own content, rewriting PLR material or paying to have the content written for you. Write the pages around keywords that have lower competition as described above. How you make the site is up to you. There are many programs that can turn articles into fast websites, programs like hypervre work well. Or you can grab a template and edit it quickly. I like and use this adsense template as it looks clean and has given me a good CTR and is very cheap. You will also need a HTML editor to edit your pages you can does this with a free HTML editor like www.nvu.com. But if you are a little scared of editing HTML code you can always try Xsitepro this program can turnout some great looking sites with very little effort on the part of the user.
Place Your Adsense Ads
The next step after you get your site template and content written is to place your ads. On most sites the best ad format is going to be large 336 X 280 rectangle block placed above the content and under the title. However keep in mind Google is very picky about what the title says if the links are under it. If they are unhappy they may warn you, stop serving ads to your site or ban your account. They are looking for titles that lead the reader to believe the links hold more information, how they judge this is a mystery so to be safe i always put the ads over the title. While the 336x280 ads work well some people change this to the 300 X 250 or the 250 X 250 and have better luck. Every site is different so experiment with yours. I also run a 160 x 600 skyscraper down the right side as i have fond the right side converts better the the left by just a little bit. I sometimes will change this adsense unit to an affiliate banner ad but for the most part i leave it as a adsense block.
When it comes to ad color I have found that the standard link color works the best on my sites. The code for this is 000FF and is the standard blue link color. There has been some recent buzz about changing the links to red, i tried this and saw no increase or decrease in CTR so i like to leave it blue as it appears more natural to me. Again every site is different and Google makes changing colors very easy now, you can do it right in your adsense account. If you have the old adsense code you will have to change it for a the new style. As far as the text under the link i leave it all black or grey depending on my site.
Tracking Your Adsense Clicks
In order to fully analyze your adsense sites you need to know where your clicks are coming from. Fortunately Google makes this very easy for you by letting you set ad channel. To set an add channel just click the add new channel link when you get to the channels page when generating your adsense code. What channels will do is tell you what ad block is generating clicks, this way you can track any modifications you make to ad layout or color. Without channels you are just guessing. You can also see your best performing sites and try and drive more traffic to them to make even more money. For my sites i set two ad channels i refer to them as “site name” side and “site name” upper.
Drive Traffic To Your Sites
This is the part that can make or break your website. No matter how pretty your site is or how perfectly your a layout is without visitors you have no clicks or money coming in. Everyone has a unique approach to the way they drive traffic and i have developed my own method that has proved to work for me and give me a pretty good consistent stream of traffic. I will lay it out in steps that are very easy to follow.
1. I write over a period of 30 days 30-40 articles based around some low to medium competition keywords and submit them at a rate of one per day. I do this using a program called article past robot to automate the submission and submit them to about 10 article directories. I always submit to ezinearticles.com by hand first them i submit to the rest of the directories 24 hours later. If you are having a hard time writing article you can use instant article wizard to help you. Just remember to rewrite the articles it produces.
2.After the articles are written and published i start a blog at www.blogger.com and www.wordpress.org using the articles i wrote as content and leaving the author resource box in place. I just basically copy and paste everything from ezinearticles.com. I post once per day to once every few days on each blog. Each post takes about 1 minute to make. After the first few posts i social book mark each blog at www.digg.com and www.propeller.com I also ping each blog after each post at www.pingmyblog.com
3.At the same time i will grab a free site at www.weebly.com and make a short five page site that includes a links resource page that has anchor text links pointing to all my ezinearticles. The site is filled with some quickly rewritten content i either get from my site content, ezinearticles or PLR if i have it. I do the same over at www.tripod.com and will use digg and propeller again to social bookmark them.
4.Next I head over to www.squidoo.com and make a quick lense for my niche and again i just quickly rewrite some content and make a resource links page. Only this time i include anchor text links to my main website and my weebly website. Again i use digg and propeller to social bookmark the lense. Along with squidoo i will also utilize www.hubpages.com and write a few hub with some anchor text links in them pointing to my sites.
5.I will then go back and social bookmark all my ezinearticles using the tools available from www.onlywire.com and also a great one at http://www.ekstreme.com/socializer/ These free tools make it very fast to social book mark your sites. Keep in mind some sites may not allow ezinearticle submissions but many do. The best site to social book mark on is www.digg.com and there policy on ezinearticle submissions varies from week to week so always check and see if they are allowing them, its worth eh few minutes it takes. To get around that i will bookmark the resource page on my weeboly site that has anchor text links pointing to may ezinearticles.
6.After all my sites are made and all bookmarking has been done i will go submit a few comments on blogs. When i do this i enter a keyword associate with my site in the name box and enter my website address in the appropriate box. This will give you a text link to your site. Its a small thing but helps. Look for blogs that are in your niche or get a lot of traffic. Just remember to post useful comments and not spam.
That is my adsense strategy laid out before you. While it may seem like a lot it can actually be accomplished in 30-35 days. And when you are working with niches that have high payouts but stiff competition going the extra mile can really help you get the edge over your competition. And if you do this for a niche that pays highly you can easily make $5 per day everyday, multiply that times 5,10,20 or whatever your goals are and you can start earning a nice side income.

The Disadvantages of Adsense
As adsense becomes the most popular publisher program for Price per Click advertising, flaws and disadvantages still exist. Since its inception advertisers have chosen to advertise in search because they felt that visitors would be less targeted. This is a genuine concern and one that makes perfect sense. If you are visiting a website, and notice an advert then the chances are you are not particularly concentrating on its content.
Adsense has also become so popular that people can distinguish them from other adverts. Therefore people may choose to ignore them without even paying them a thought. This has been a hot topic discussed by Bloggers and one that could contain a lot of truth. Many have blamed Google for this, and their decision to include text that says “ads by Google” beneath the advert.
Many publishers also fail to ever gain the revenues they anticipated when starting the program. Those only gaining 30 – 40 visitors a day to their website would be unlikely to earn even one dollar a day. Many advertisers talk of rates such as 1.5%- 5% for traffic to click conversion, whilst only gaining around $0.10 per click. The maths doesn’t work out great, but you can hardly blame advertisers or Google if you are not bringing enough traffic. The key is to bring targeted traffic to your website that are likely to click on adverts, however it is said that it may be easier on other programs which allow figures such as 75% share of advertising revenues for publishers.
Another disadvantage in adsense is that it has almost become tacky. Its appearance on websites that generally appear to be designed in a DIY fashion has lead people to associate them inextricably. This can only be tackled through adsense evolving to be more attractive to the bigger brands, whilst those who currently use adsense are restricted.
Google Adsense also has to tackle the issue of click fraud which is anticipated to count for over 15% of click through rate in content. This has meant that advertiser’s who have been particularly affected, have moved away to other programs or have restricted their advertising to search.
This has meant that there is less competition in content and therefore smaller revenues for publishers. Publisher’s who previously had high yielding ads, are now having to alter their content to ensure they get any adverts at all. This has largely been the fault of the publishers themselves however the issue is one that; if not addressed could bring adsense to its knees.
Google Adsense also has the disadvantage of not paying enough for their search program. Other similar programs pay higher rates, and if publishers decide to go elsewhere then problems will occur for advertisers and publishers alike. Although Google fail to pay enough for search another major problem with Adsense is that it does not have a powerful database of graphic adverts. Many advertisers prefer showing graphically drive advertisements, however this has yet to materialise. As several other programs exist for PPC graphic distribution problems could occur.
Whilst this may not be a problem for all publishers, many complain that the adverts within their site do not change, so their repeat visitors fail to see fresh adverts so therefore fail to visit them. This is a problem which could be addressed through making adverts rotate. However if adverts rotate then how will that be linked with advertisers paying a rate per click? These are all problems which Google has to address to ensure that Adsense remains the market leader.
Adwords on the other hand also has major advantages, and remains the best in the market. It’s CPC rates can be chosen by the advertisers so that even when they feel that they are not getting the results they expect they can lower their prices whilst still using the service.
Whilst many issues remain with adsense the program still remains the most popular amongst publishers, whilst Google Adwords remains the most popular amongst advertisers; with a database of over 140,000 Adwords will remain on top for the time to come.

Increase Your Adsense And Afilliate Earnings With The Right Simple System
I bought a ton of ebooks, joined membership courses that promised the world and then it hit me. After cycling through all the crap i found a system that worked for me and it works very well. I will out line the system below in hopes that it will help struggling authors and other people trying to make money online reach their goals. The information may not be what some people agree with but it does work for me. So without further ramblings here is my system.
First you need to know what people are looking for. this is done easily with some simple keyword research. Alot of people put tons of time and effort into keyword research. In my opinion i would rather do something productive then run theoretical tests all day! With that in mind I head over to the Google Keyword tool and enter in the main keyword i am writing about. For example if i am writing about "Credit Repair" i will enter "Credit Repair" in the keyword box. Next i set the keyword options to exact match and hit enter. I look for keywords that have at least 300 monthly searches and medium to little competition. The Google tool shows monthly searches and the average competing web pages.
I then head over to the FREE keyword tool at word tracker and do the same thing. Only difference is at word tracker they show daily searches and you have to take the keywords and enter them into a Google search to see the competition. I will also enter the keyword in quotes like this "credit repair" this will return alot less competing pages but it does tell me a little closer how many other web pages are competing for this same term. If you get results under 10,000 its pretty easy to rank for in most cases, unless the sites listed are wikipedia, cnn.com and sites like that. In an instance like that move onto the next keyword because those sites are almost impossible to knock off.
With this method i will get my keyword list together and start to write my hubpagess, website content or blog posts. If i am having trouble writing articles I will use this awesome tool that has helped me tremendously when i have writers block or a in a jam.
Once i have my site or blog up and going i head over to www.digg.com and social bookmark it here and at www.propeller.com. I then wait for them to get indexed at Google, this normally takes 24-48 hours after bookmarking them. Hubpages usually index much faster since Google crawls them more frequently. If you are making a blog also make sure to ping them at www.pingomatic.com or www.pingmyblog.com pinging lets Google know you updated your blog and they will send their Google Bots to check it out.
Site indexing means that Google is aware your site or blog, or hub exists and puts it in their database. The easiest way to check this is to enter site:youweburl.com in a Google search. If your site pops up you are indexed. It may not index all your pages at one time put as long as the home page is there its on to the next step.
I then write a few articles about the subject matter at hand. I keep these article at about 300 words and write one per day for the next 10 days. After each one is submitted i submit them to the top article directories that consist of the following directories. Article marketing is a powerful way to drive traffic to your sites and gain back links. However it does take a not to explain in detail, and while i may do a separate article on it i feel the best place to get that information is this Ebook which has taught me a TON of valuable information and totally paid for itself many times over!
Ezinearticles (this is by far the best)
I always submit to ezinearticles first then 48 hours later i submit to the rest of them. I use a tool called Article Post Robot that allows to me to spin the article, title and resource box to be different at each article directory.
Once i have my article submitted i move on to the next key word in my niche and start the process over. While it may seem like i did not reveal any super duper secrets to you i did tell you how to apply yourself and get traffic to your blog or website quickly, easily and consistently. And that is the key to making money online, hard work and consistency.

Making Money WIth Adsense-How Many Sites Is Enough
While alot of sites making a little money sounds like a good practice on paper found this method to be more work then it needed to be. Trying to article market 21 sites was hard to do and as i monitored my sites traffic i would often try to blast five articles into the article directories for any sites that had falling traffic. I found that after 20 sites it became to hard to do this with limited time and i had to scale back a bit.
I took my five most profitable sites and started to concentrate on those. I will write 1-2 articles per day and write them for a different site each day. This not only keeps a steady flow of articles going but it is also brings each of the 5 sites more traffic and my earnings are increasing faster then when i was just slamming up site for the sake of getting them up there.
I still have all 21 of my sites up and some bring in a few dollars a month so i leave them up. But i really do not do to much to promote them. If i can get my earnings up to $50 a day i may start to out source article writing to bring the older sites up to speed, but everything in time!
The key is to get the niches that pay the most so that every click counts. I never reveal my niches but i will say that sticking with areas that have large corporate advertisers is gonna make you the most.

Merchants place their ads in Google, which is one of the most popular search engines or tools for locating various resources in the World Wide Web. Now the Google AdSense program allows you to display these ads in you website and when your visitors click through them, you earn. The advertiser, which is the merchant pays Google for every click-through made by the customer and you as a partner of Google, gets a share from that payment.
What’s great about the Google AdSense is that the ads are relevant to the content of your web page. Most likely, visitors of your web site are interested on the theme of your site and specifically, on the content of your web page. So, seeing ads related to their interest would definitely drive them to click through the link or the ad. Using state-of-the-art technology, Google scans your web site and matches the content of your pages to their large database of advertisers; this way, Google is able to find ads that are targeted by the users of your site. In addition, Google changes the ads in your site as you change the content of your pages, so you can always expect the ads to be relevant to your site.
Having Google ads in your website is also a way of convincing your users to return to your site. Repeat customers multiply your income without having to exert extra effort to convince them again to click through your links. And your potential to earn doesn’t depend on them alone. Since you already have their confidence, they can be your endorsers as well. They could refer your site to family and friends who probably share the same interests with them.
Advertisers in the Google AdSense program range from large international brands to small-time domestic and local businesses, so the targeted market for the ads can range as well. This adds variety to your site; thereby, attracting different kinds of users. As you attract more users, you increase your earning potential as well. If you are targeting a specific nationality for your site users, don’t worry because AdSense can be used in different languages.
In order to boost your revenues through Google AdSense, you must pay attention to making web pages of high value topics. Make contents related to high-paying ads, so you can earn more. Increasing Traffic With PLR
To combat this problem there have been alot of membership sites set up that PLR deliver content to you every month that you can use on your site. Some are good some are bad. I am currently a member of two groups PLRpro and Nicherockets.
Both PLRpro and Nicherockets offer monthly PLR product content as well as many other valuable bonus's to their members. Being a member of both i feel that they both offer great products and they both have their strong points.
I will be posting reviews of each of these programs this week to help people make a choice as to what group maybe better for them. I should have one of them up today or tomorrow.
