Article Marketing And Clickbank Progress

Well after my great week sales dropped off the face of the earth which i attribute to the Christmas holiday rush. I had no sales from December 20th-25th. But i did have two on the 26th and two more on the 28th. So i think that now that Christmas has passed people should be getting back to normal again and sales should pick up.

I wrote a few more articles and will be writing at least 30 this week but am shooting for 50 to have at last 130 live articles for this product. I have 80 live so far.

I did learn one valuable lesson recently. I had a sale that gave me about half of what i normally make for commission. I emailed the merchant directly and they told me they list the percentage of sale on clickbank based off the customer buying an up sell they offer not off the actual product price. They claim most people take the up sell so they feel OK about listing it this way.

Most of my sales took the up sell so its not that big a deal but something to be aware of and double check. Only two out of twenty four sales did not take it so at this point I am ok with it.

Clickbank Article Marketing Progress

This week i had a sale everyday of the week except for today, that's a pretty good accomplishment for me and it shows me that my work is paying off. I am still redirecting all my ezinearticles traffic directly to the affiliate sales page.

The sales i had this week were the result of 66 live articles at ezinearticles. I have 12 more waiting to get approved and that will take me to 78 live articles for this niche. Considering its the week before christmas and most people are not shopping for info products i fell pretty good about it!

What I Want to Do Next

I have a week off of work between Christmas and new years and i am going to try and write 50 articles in that time to get my live articles up to 125.

After i get to 125 I think i am going to try and put up some squidoo lenses and maybe examine building a list.

This week I also made some free landing pages at Blogger, i used a simple technique and the landing pages are actually now getting a few visitors a day free Google traffic and the exit links on the sales pages have a great click through ratio of almost 80%.

I am going to leave them up and see if the sales link still has a good CTR then send all my ezinearticle traffic there and try to build a list as well as a pre sell instead of just right to the merchants sales page.

I am not sure of a time frame for all of this but i will get it done as soon as i can!

Selling Clickbank Products Through Article Marketing

This week should wrap up with 5 sales. I have not done much all week because I had a bad cold, then my wife and kids got sick. Now my brother is getting married this weekend so everything is on hold.

I did however set up a small Google Adwords campaign to try and sell the product through. So far i have made one sale from 10 clicks. The only problem is my CTR for my ads really stinks!
I have to work on improving that and will go from there and see if i can make some more sales via PPC.

I currently have 51 live articles at ezinearticles in my niche and from what i have seen so far i will need at least 100-150 to make 1-2 sales per day which is my ultimate goal.

I do plan on hammering out about 10-15 articles next week, unless christmas shopping gets in the way!

Making Money With Clickbank And Article Marketing Update

So far the clickbank sales have been OK but not consistent. So far for december i have made about $48 through sales. I do attribute this to not keeping up article marketing as much as i was.

I only have 52 live articles in the niche at ezinearticles and wanted to have 100 by now.

The reason for this was partly the holidays and secondly the fact that i was trying to find a good Adsense alternative for one of my mortgage sites that gets about 150 new visitors a day and used to be my main money making site.

I think i found it with Miva publisher network. I will let you know how that goes and how the payout are compared to Adsense.

Banned From Adsense-Clickbank Article Marketing Update

I wanted more traffic to my afilliate pages so i just went and put a redirect on some of my domains that have over 40 articles from www.ezinearticles.com linking to them. I redirected to various clickbank products in the niche the articles were in.

I did this Wednesday before i left for a Thanksgiving trip. I came home today to find a nice $40.09 commission on my account for a credit repair kit.

So far i have made $196.25 from clickbank and $32 from paydotcom.com since losing my adsense accounts on november 14. Comes out to about $16.30 a day, just under what my adsense was by about $9.

WHile the numbers are still lower then if i still had my adsense account active it is a sign to me that i can do this without Google Adsense.

Banned From Adsense-Clickbank Article Marketing Campaign Update

After being banned from adsense i started down a path to article marketing clickbank products in order to replace my lost income. It started out very well on Novemer 6th with a burst of initial sales but has slowed a bit, i have not made a sale in the last 6 days. I am one third of my way to my goal of 150 live articles for the niche at ezinearticles and will continue to soldier on.

Where I Am At

I currently have 47 live articles for my niche at ezinearticles and am going to start rewriting the top performing ones and posting them to the following directories. I will link with an anchor text link to my ezinearticles from these other directories to see if i can bump up some of my articles in the google rankings. I will also inclue one link to my clickbank product. Should be interesting to see what happens. Each article will be 100% rewritten for each directory.

Article Performance So Far

Total hops for this niche campaign so far is 1024 hops with six sales. But with 47 articles and two links in each resource box and the fact that ezinearticles checks each link twice per article submission that would knock the hops down to around 836 then i probably used up the other 36 testing hop links and stuff so in total i have about 800 hops and 6 sales that equal $46 and change.

While not a huge commissions this niche is one i know inside and out so writing about is easy and makes getting things done for it much easier. Once ii have a better grasp on the system i will try a product that pays out better

I also sold an asthma ebook from my clickbank rotator ads that netted me just under 22. The clickbank ad rotator is kinda cool. It replaces adsense ads on websites and will display ads for niche related clickbank products. If you look on the right hand side of this post you can see them in action.

It is going slow and with the holidays coming up i think people are worried about other things and saving money for Christmas. However the niche i am in usually is very busy from September through spring and is hobby related. I do have full confidence in the system and know that once the holidays pass and the economy does not get any worse the sales should start to roll in more then they are now.

My next step is to try a few ads at the online classified advertising site USfree ads I also want to build a wordpress blog on the subject and maybe some other stuff if i have the time. A landing page with an opt in box is also a top priority as well but having a family with two kids under 6 is keeping me away from getting some of that done as quick as I would like.

Might Try Pay Per Click

I was able to get $20 in free Pay Per Click at bidvertiser and will be trying that out very soon to. Probably going to wait until after the first of the year for PPC though. i want to see if sales increase with traffic from the articles and usfreeads before i burn thourgh the $20.

I also want to give adwords atry but will wait and see what happens after the holidays.

Adsense Account Disabled-Try This Adsense Alternative And Make More Money

After two years with Google Adsense my adsense account got disabled. I am really not sure what violation i was guilty of because Google will never tell you but I pretty much have narrowed it down to using unaltered PLR on really basic looking sites. I guess that put me i the Made For Adsense category. I have no hard feelings because like any business Google has to do what it feels has to be done to remain profitable.

Looking For An Adsense Alternative When You Lose Your Account

I was very nervous when i got the Adsense account disabled email. I was making anywhere from $600 to over $1000 on a pretty consistent basis for the last two years. In fact i was so content making that much that i never thought about diversifying or having an Adsense alternative in place to earn more money or keep my earnings if my adsense account ever got disabled. I was depressed to say the least.

The day after the email i snapped out of my sulking mood and got to work. I researched many different methods of making money online and settled on promoting a clickbank product. I knew nothing about doing this and figured i would find a good source of information.

I purchased a book called called secret article profits it goes over affiliate article marketing and kind of opened my eyes how easy it is to make money without Adsense. The method involves using simple redirects to have people land on the affiliate sites salespage using article marketing and clickbank hoplinks. Since i was already article marketing for my adsense sites i knew i could blast out 30 articles in a few days and see what happens.

The product i picked does not have a high commission, its around $10 but it is in niche that i have been involved in for over ten years. I figured this was a good fit and i could write some articles quickly around this niche and hopefully get some cash rolling back in.

The results were nice, in 12 days i had made 4 sales for just under $40 from 26 articles submitted only to www.ezinearticles.com Total time writing the articles was 5 hours, and i did it on my lunch hour at work so it did not interfere in my family time at all. The product has a conversion rate of around 1.5% so far. So for every 100 people that get redirected to merchant sales page i make 1 and a half sales or about $15. What adsense niche are you going to make $15 from 100 visitors???

My goal is to get this niche up to two or three sales a day then move onto the next niche and create residual income that way. The best part is that there is nobody looking over your shoulder and no terms to violate, clickbank does have a few rules but nothing major like Google has.

Plus when i did the math i was making way more with clickbank even with my smaller commission then i would with adsense for the same amount of clicks.

So my advice to anyone involved in just Adsense and nothing else is to diversify your income sources, its easier then you think and may just find that you wind up making more money then you do now.

My Revised Article Marketing Strategy Updated

Since employing my strategy of submitting rewritten articles to a few good directories and not sending the same article out to hundreds of worthless ones my traffic has increased as have my earnings and free Google traffic.

The exciting part about this is that for many lower competition terms my articles have anywhere from 4-8 spots on the front page Of Google. The websites that i was article marketing for have also got a boost in free search engine traffic as well.

I am linking this to the fact that with the article rewritter i use i can alter the anchor text links for the resource box. So i can really get a good mix of anchor text links pointing back to my pages.

This strategy took one of my sites pages with a fairly competitive term from the second page of Google to the second spot in a two weeks. Will it stay, who knows but its there now and with consistent work i believe i can cement it there!

Before when i was just slamming out the same article to the directories i never saw page domination like this so i am now buying into the negatives of duplicate content based on my own experiences.

The only thing i did recently with my old strategy was to switch to the new ArticleApps article software. This software has a lot of cool options that are not offered with regular article rewriting packages. Plus it is very easy to learn how to use and implement!

There is a free version but it limits the number of times per day you can use it and also does not give you access to the built in thesaurus and some other very cool options

. If you are serious about your article marketing efforts i recommend that you spend the money and upgrade to the gold version of ArticleApps.

While the free version will work it gives you just enough to wish you would have upgraded to the Gold version. Plus if you update right away you get a discount that is pretty big.

The only other thing i want to implement in my efforts is some auto submission software but i am researching the different ones out there and will report back once i decide on one and put it to use.

To spin it i rewrite each sentence 3-5 times then replace synonyms within the rewritten sentences. Its easy to do with this software

I then submit them to these directories all at once. I like these because they either have no word minimum or a very low word minimum of 300 words plus they most have good PR and Alexa rankings.

I repeat this process for 30-50 articles for each site.This way i will have tons of unique articles all over the web and build some site content as well.

For the wordpress and blogger blogs i just use the ezinearticles version with theresource box in tact they drive some traffic but not tons. Its just a quick easy thing to do plus if you put Adsense on the blogs it will make you money to.

This method has put alot of my articles on the front page of Google its nice to own 7 or 8 of the spots on the front page for a low hanging keyword.

if you are researching your Adsense niche and doing the standard keyword research here is another tool for you to use. www.seodigger.com will analyze any domain you enter and tell you what keywords it ranks for, there position in Google and the wordtracker searches.

This works great if you see certain sites popping up for the keywords you like, chances are they are also targeting low hanging keywords and you can see the ones they optimized for, kinda of like like letting them do the work for you!

Best of all its FREE to use and the free version does a great job. So combine this tool with the Google Keyword Research Tool and Free Wordtracker and you should be able to jump ahead of the competition

Where Adsense Should Appear

When deciding whether to incorporate Adsense into your website there are several factors to consider. Many feel that it diminishes their brand, whilst others see it as a useful tool for visitors which creates revenues and makes their content profitable.

The choice can largely come down to the commercial goals and the purpose of your website. Many businesses who sell products decide to place Adsense adverts within their website. This would appear to be a strange choice, opening up opportunities for rivals to promote their service or product to your potential customer base.

Simple Article Marketing Trick That Will Double Your Traffic

Something that i started to do recently was to target two or even three keywords in my articles i submit to www.ezinearticles.com. It has really driven more traffic to my Adsense pages more then a single keyword article ever could.

To do this i go the the free Google keyword tool and find my first keyword. I shoot for medium competition with this keyword with under 20,000 competing pages when searched in quotes

The next keyword i try for slightly less so maybe 10,000 competing pages when searched in quotes.

I will then use these two keywords in the title and try and keep the keyword density the same for each keyword. I like to keep it at 1-1.5%

I put the keyword with the most search competition first in the title.

The results have been literally amazing, the article traffic has doubled and my earnings got a slight bump. Plus it is very easy to do. I am currently going back over some old articles t modify them in this manner.

I wish i had started doing this when i first started article marketing and for the life of me I cannot figure out why i didn't?

When you accumulate $50.00 in earnings, Google Adsense will send you a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to the payment address you supplied when you signed up. This is just another security precaution that Google Adsense has in place to protect their publishers but it is important.

Once you’ve been mailed a PIN number, your account payments will be on hold until the PIN is entered in your account. You can still have access to your account and earn money; you just won’t be paid until the PIN is entered. If it hasn’t been entered within 1 year, your account will be disabled.

When you log into your Google Adsense account, you are automatically taken to the page where you can view all your Adsense activity. What Is The Best Adsense Color Combination

The color of your Adsense ad blocks can really make or break your sites profitability. Many people just use the standard Google color combination and never experiment. This to me really limits the earning potential you have with Adsense.


Because of my own curiosity I recently to took the ads on one of my sites and changed the colors from a color that blended with the page color (they were a light brown) scheme to standard blue color html code #0000FF. I did this because I have read so much that the Standard blue color is the universal color for links and people tend to associate this color with a link and will be more likely to click it.

The site in question has a mid double digit CTR and has had about the same CTR for over a year. The site gets about 50 visitors a day from various sources.

The day after i changed the colors from brown to blue the CTR fell in half!! It has been this way for seven days, i am changing it back tonight to get my earnings back inline.

This was a real eye opener to me as everything I have read over the past two years has stressed blue as the color of choice. I have recently heard rumblings of Red being a high converting color, this will be my next test to see if Red beats a blended Ad unit!

Keep in mind that I only change the color of top the Link line in the Adsense and I leave the text and everything else black. I also run no border and use a background the same color as my site.

If you're looking at Google's AdSense program you're surely asking yourself how much you could make from such a program, and you probably think you can't make as much as you can from traditional advertising schemes.

Google, of course, keeps a great deal of secrecy regarding how much AdWords advertisers pay per each click directed to their site and the same applies for how much AdSense banner holders make from their websites.

While there's nothing official, rumors circulate around the Internet concerning the amount of cash a website can earn by using AdSense. After using AdSense for a while you must have begun to ask yourself if there's anything you could do to improve your AdSense based earnings. But before you go on experimenting with this and that setup you have to realize a couple of things about positioning.

Also, placing ads to the left side of your page seems to work better almost all the time. Of course, this is logical because text is generally written from left to right (unless you come from certain countries where it's the other way around).

People will finish a sentence and return their eyes to the left position, which means they have a higher chance of spotting your ads.

Also, there's a bit more to this then just having ads visually in the right place. If you have more then one ad you have to worry about where they're located in the code as well. And there's a very good reason for this concern.

AdSense fills the ads in the order it finds them in the source. That means that if the first add you have in the code isn't the one generating the highest revenue, you may soon start to lose money, rather then earn more.

This is because if AdSense doesn't have anymore ads it will supplement your space with public service ads or just leave it blank altogether. That means that, if you're unlucky, you could end up with your most profitable locations not having any good ads at all. To supplement your revenues

There are other issues with how many ads you should place in your site. The problem is that if you have too many, rather then generate more income, you'll have a lower click through rate, as visitors tend not to follow ads from the places where these come in excess.

You have to constantly keep track of how the users interact with your site. Keep an eye out for where the visitors will be looking at your site most. This is generally the place where you want to use your first ads. Also try not to place ads in annoying positions as that can guarantee a lower click through rate.

Of course, you always need to have ads that blend in with your content and generally don't make the visitor's presence on your site an unpleasant one. The key is providing an enjoyable experience for your visitor, whilst generating revenues from their exploration.

And again, ultimately the best revenue will be earned through a lot of experimentation. Be sure to use AdSense's channels feature and be on the look out for how certain ads in your pages are doing whilst altering the positions to better supplement your earnings.

From my analysis of this statement it seems that as the economy tightens up and advertising budgets shrink the companies that advertise with Adwords are really analyzing where there traffic comes and how that traffic converts to actual revenue for them.

They are then putting a big emphasis on getting ads onto the best performing sites and filtering out the poor ones. This should be a wake up call to Adsense publishers to build sites with very high quality content and not just some over used PLR or auto generated scraper content because in the long run your earnings will decline.

I write my articles around the lower competition keywords that no one wants because they offer little search volume of 2-5 per day. These are easy to rank for and drive traffic to the articles and my sites very well. I would rather dominate 100 smaller keywords rather then 1 big one because if you lose 1 of 100 its no big deal but losing 1 of 1 is. Plus there is just safety in numbers that make me comfortable.

Adsense is not dead while many publishers claim to have been witnessing lower payouts lately the facts are they are probably in the wrong niches. The high paying niches are ones that have large corporate advertisers like loans, investing, insurance, mortgage, etc. With niches like this you can easily make dollars per click.

The smaller niches that are filled with drop shipping or home based retailers generally do not pay as well. These include alot of hobby related niches like pets, paintball or fishing and niches along those lines.

Although sometimes if you dig a little you can find a good sub niche in a low paying niche. For example the keyword "fishing" does not have high adwords bids but "canadian fishing trip" does. So always research a niche completely or you could be missing a goldmine.

Another thing to consider is how many advertisers there are in the niche you are looking at. The more advertisers the more ads will show on your site, this is important at the end of the month when some advertisers monthly budgets run out and the stop adwords for the month. If all the advertisers stop adwords then non paying public service ads will show up.

If you are unsure about how much a niche pays go to www.SpyFu.com and enter the main keyword into the search box. The current adwords bids will come up along with the number of advertisers. AS a adsense publisher you will get a portion of the Adwords revenue so obviously the higher the better. I try to stick with niches that have $4 and over adwords bids, at that level it tells me the advertisers have money and are making money so the bids should continue to remain high.

Also spyfu will show you a breakdown of adwords bids through out the year, look at the keyword "Canadian fishing trip" for example and you will see in July the adwords bids spike to 7.49 from 2.24 in January so some niches can earn more a certain times of the year.

My mortgage sites for example get better after Christmas when people want to refinance their debt they ran up though Christmas shopping and also in spring when they are buying houses. It tends to slow down from September to after Christmas.
